Japan Imports of Chinese FeSi Greatly Decreased in May 2014

This week many steel mills began to release bids for July ferrosilicon in China, with mainstream steel mills as HBIS and Shagang Group included. HBIS and Shagang Group both increased purchase volume by around 400 mt for July delivery.

According to latest statistics of China Customs, exports of Chinese FeSi were 34,899 mt in May 2014, which basically equaled that of last month and was 25.8% more than that of May 2013.
