China's steel export is estimated to stay at 62 million tons in 2009, according to South China Metal Transaction Center in Guangzhou city.
Accordingly, China will consume 460~470 million tons of crude steel next year, and the downstream demand will probably pick up in the second quarter of next year.
In consideration of the global economic slowdown and international demand shrinkage, steel export of China may hardly rise again in a short period even if the government has eliminated the export tariff on some steel products.
