【Ferro-alloys.com】: Kazakhstan's metallurgical sector showed mixed results over the first nine months of2025, according to the latest industrial production data.
The country's pig iron output rose to 2.59 million tonnes, marking a 3% increase compared with the same period in 2024.Meanwhile, steel production edged down slightly by 0.5%, totaling 3.087 million tonnes.
In the mining segment, iron ore concentrate output grew significantly by 14%, reaching 7.007 million tonnes, reflecting robust demand from both domestic and export markets. Sinter production also showed modest growth of 0.4%, standing at 4.255 million tonnes, while pellet production increased by 2% to 4.362 million tonnes.
Kazakhstan's coal concentrate production expanded by 9% to 3.397 million tonnes, and coke output rose by6%, totaling 2.223 million tonnes - indicating continued stability in the country's upstream steelmaking materials.
