[Ferro-Alloys.com] Steel output at ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih (AMKR) in Ukraine dropped by 7.14% year-on-year in the first quarter of 2020 on the negative effects of the Covid-19 pandemic.
The steelmaker produced 1.3 million tonnes of crude steel in January-March 2020.
At the same time, the volume of finished products totaled 1.2 million tonnes in the first quarter.
“Under the Covid-19 pandemic, we are striving to maintain production volumes, despite the difficulties faced by businesses worldwide in late February and March this year,” AMKR chief executive officer Mauro Longobardo said. (Fastmarket)
