UK-Australian iron ore mining firm BHP has signed an agreement with Chinese steelmaker China Baowu to invest up to $35mn in jointly seeking technical solutions to reduce carbon emissions in steelmaking.

Vanadium project developer AVL (ASX:AVL) has launched a green hydrogen strategy for its flagship Australian Vanadium project in WA.

Hoa Phat Steel said it shipped 62,700 tonnes of finished steel abroad in September, doubling the figure a year ago.

In the first nine months of this year, the group earned 65 trillion VND in revenue and over 8.84 trillion VND in after-tax profit.
