Japan Imports of FeSi Hit New High in June 2014

World crude steel production for the 65 countries reporting to the World Steel Association (worldsteel) was 137 million tonnes (Mt) in June 2014, an increase of 3.1% compared to June 2013.

According to statistic of Japan Customs, Japan imported 268 tons of calcium carbide, down by 48.5% Y-O-Y. The materials were mainly imported from China with import volume at 206 tons.
