North America eclipsed China as the biggest producer of rare earth metal molybdenum in the second quarter of 2014, the International Molybdenum Association (IMOA) reports.

NMC Resource Corporation has reported an 8% increase in molybdenum production and sales increased by 33% year-on-year for the nine months ended September 30, 2014.
