Chinese ferrosilicon market kept silent in mid-April with domestic ex-work price stable despite of some producers decreasing the offers slightly for inactive transactions.

In recent time, silicon metal prices trend to be stable in China. As some mills began to restart furnaces in southern areas, the tight supply of Si products may relieve in a short time. And there is less possibility for Si price to climb up in future.

According to latest statistics of South Korea Customs Service, South Korea imported 22,499 mt of ferrosilicon, up by 53.2% from February of 2014(14,686 mt) and up 12.9% from March of 2013(19,933 mt).
